Travel Essentials for Your Havanese Puppy
A great resource for taking a Road Trip with your HavaneseWith the warm weather fast approaching, summer vacations are just around the corner. Yay!! I know packing can be stressful and we all know how forgetting one important item can put a real damper on the trip. Let’s all (pups included) avoid the mid-trip stop at Walmart and have happier vacations! I thought I would share my own vacation “Puppy Travel Essentials” packing list with you and your puppy! (This list isn’t specific to the Havanese Puppies)
- Puppy crate with ID tag
- Crate food and water bowls
- Crate bed
- Puppy blanket
- Toy
- Portable water dispenser (any type of large water bottle will do)
- Small wash cloth –to clean up water bowl spills in the crate
- Puppy food in a travel bag
- Dry treats
- Portable food and water station or bowls
- Waste bags
- Travel containers filled with shampoo and accident cleaner
- Towel
- Puppy brush
- Puppy medical kit and your vets phone number
- Vaccination papers and health certifications (required for flying)
- Leash and collar with ID tag
Be sure to check with any transportation systems you are using of any requirements they might have. Many of the items on this list are recommendations straight from the AKC. They are the best source for anything that has to do with your little Havanese puppy. I just want to remind you to never leave your puppy alone in a vehicle and also never allow your puppy to ride in the front seat, airbags can be fatal to these sweet little Havanese puppies.
